• Shovel or auger
• Spirit level
• Bagged concrete
• Render mix (if required)
• Epoxy adhesive
• Clear coat or exterior paint (optional but recommended)
Step by Step Installation
1. Prepare the site Choose the exact location for the gate post. Ensure the ground is firm and free from loose soil.
2. Dig the footing hole Create a hole deep enough to support the post (typically 300–600mm depending on soil). Width should allow the post to sit comfortably with concrete around it.
3. Position the gate post Place the post into the hole. Use a spirit level to ensure it is perfectly straight in all directions.
4. Pour concrete around the post Fill the hole with concrete while keeping the post level. Lightly tap the post to remove air pockets.
5. Check alignment with gates/fences Before the concrete sets, make sure the post lines up with your gate or fence line.
6. Allow curing time Let the concrete fully cure (usually 24–48 hours).
7. Render (optional) If you want a smooth finish, apply a thin render coat to the post.
8. Epoxy under base (if required) If your gate post has a base section, apply epoxy underneath to secure it firmly.
9. Clear coat or paint (recommended) Applying a clear coat or paint protects the post from weather, moisture, and staining. It also gives a premium finish and extends the life of the product.

Step by Step
1. Prepare the pier or column top Ensure the surface is clean, flat, and free from dust.
2. Check level Use a spirit level to confirm the top surface is perfectly flat.
3. Apply render (if needed) If the surface is uneven, apply a thin render layer and let it dry.
4. Apply epoxy bedding Spread epoxy adhesive evenly across the top surface.
5. Position the plinth Place the plinth on top and adjust it so all overhangs are even.
6. Allow epoxy to cure Let the adhesive set according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Clear coat or paint (recommended) Sealing the plinth protects it from water, stains, and UV exposure.
